Review: Southern Gods

Ed Kurtz has some nice things to say about Southern Gods over at his blog. Ed's a damn good writer himself. Check out his blog and Bleed, his first novel.

...if William Faulkner, Jim Thompson and H.P. Lovecraft had an orgiastic blood sacrifice ritual to honor the Old Ones in the Delta Swampland at the height of the muggy Deep South summer at midnight, Southern Gods would probably be the result.

I think that's probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said about SG. And pretty much exactly what I was shooting for.
